During the annual SBSSI congress, 4 categoryof awards will be given
- Best paper award- 3 prizes
- Best Award Paper: 1st Prize: Cheque for Rs 15,000/- with a certificate
- Best Award Paper: 2nd Prize: Cheque for Rs 10,000/- with a certificate
- Best Free paper award: Cheque for Rs 15,000/- with a certificate
- Best resident award-1 prize- 1st prize
- Cheque for Rs 10,000/- with a certificate
- Best poster award- 2 prizes
- 1st Prize: Cheque for Rs 10,000/- with a certificate
- 2nd Prize: Cheque for Rs 5,000/- with a certificate
- Best young faculty award - 1 prize
- 1st Prize: Cheque for Rs 15,000/- with a certificate
The awards will be given away during the valedictory function
Criteria
- Best Award paper - 2 prizes, 1st and second (see above 1a & b)
a. Criteria
- The work should have been performed by the presenter himself or herself or he/she should have been significantly associated with it.
- The presenter should be member for SBSSI for a period of at least 6 months before presentation.
- The work should not have been published prior to the presentation.
- The presenter should only mention his/her name only and the name of the Institute where it was done should not be mentioned.
- The time allocated would be 13+2 minutes.
- The presenter should be a resident or within 6 years of completing MCh or MS degree.
- Marks will be provided by 3 anonymous judges who score the candidates for the following criteria
- Clarity of presentation
- Content & novelty of presentation
- Adherence to time
- Quality of the slides
- Discussion of literature and conclusions
- Best Free paper award (see above 1c above)
a. Criteria
- The presenter should be member for SBSSI.
- The time allocated will be variable but will usually vary from 6-10 minutes.
- Marks will be provided by anonymous judges who score the candidates for the following criteria
- Clarity of presentation
- Content & novelty of presentation
- Adherence to time
- Quality of the slides
- Discussion of literature and conclusions
- Best Resident paper award (see 2a): There will be a separate award paper presentation given to residents in training, the criteria is mentioned below
a. Criteria
- The work should have been performed by the presenter himself or herself or he/she should have been significantly associated with it.
- The presenter should be a resident in training.
- The presenter should be member for SBSSI.
- The time allocated will be variable but will usually vary from 6-10 minutes.
- Marks will be provided by anonymous judges who score the candidates for the following criteria
- Clarity of presentation
- Content & novelty of presentation
- Adherence to time
- Quality of the slides
- Discussion of literature and conclusions
- Best poster award-2 prizes, 1st and second prizes (see 3a & 3b above)
- The presenter should be a member of SBSSI
- All the posters put up will be considered for the award for poster presentation
- The judges will make a round during designated time and the author of the poster must be present during this time to make the poster presentation.
- The author will make a 2 minute presentation of his/her poster
- Best Young Faculty paper award (see 4a): There will be a separate award paper presentation given to residents in training, the criteria is mentioned below
a. Criteria
- The work should have been performed by the presenter himself or herself or he/she should have been significantly associated with it.
- The young faculty should be less than 45 years of age.
- They should make a application for the same in the option provided while registering for the conference
- The presenter should be a resident in training.
- The presenter should be member for SBSSI.
- The time allocated will be variable but will usually vary from 6-10 minutes.
- Marks will be provided by anonymous judges who score the candidates for the following criteria
- Clarity of presentation
- Content & novelty of presentation
- Adherence to time
- Quality of the slides
- Discussion of literature and conclusions
